Boundary Country
Adventure, Unlimited
Our country is big, beautiful, and easy to access while travelling along the Crowsnest Highway 3. Boundary Country is dotted with charming towns and communities rich in history. There’s everything you would think of along a route in British Columbia, farms and valleys, lakes and rivers, and of course, mountains. There’s also friendly people, locals sharing their home, the Boundary, with you. Good food, fun events, and outdoor adventure are all here for you to find. Our communities include: Baldy Mountain, Beaverdell, Big White, Bridesville, Christina Lake, Grand Forks, Greenwood, Midway, Rock Creek, Westbridge.
The history of gold prospectors, alongside art galleries, artisan markets and museums are part of the Boundary Country experience. We also love to play, and there are plenty of ways to play in the wide open spaces, trails, lakes and rivers with beaches and cabins for escaping to. Our trails are free of crowds and range from the Great Trail to the Kettle Valley Rail Trail and lots in between. If learning about where your food comes from is on the list, or meeting some farm animals, it’s all here.
Boundary Country offers up four seasons of fun. In the summer, our long, hot days are perfect for enjoying lake life or lazing along a river, and don’t forget your fishing pole. Also remember those binoculars, for spectacular birding along the way! Spring and fall are time to hit the trails. In the winter, the Boundary transforms into a wonderland prime for exploring by snowshoe, cross-country ski, snowmobile, or fat bike.
Don’t forget to come hungry. Boundary Country is a landscape of ranch lands and orchards. Out here our farmers offer up their fresh fruit and produce from this rich “sunshine valley”. Watch for fruit stands and farmer’s markets to stop at and indulge in throughout your trip!
